Acquired by Elon Musk in April 2022, X, or Twitter as it was formerly known, has undergone radical changes since then. In line with Musk’s vision of “the app for everything”, many new features have been and continue to be added to the platform. Finally, X is testing a Google Meet-like feature called Conference. Here are the details of the innovation…
The testing process has started: What is the X Conference feature?
X employee Chris Park announced the X Conference feature with a post shared on his personal account. Thanks to this innovation, which is currently available to staff within the company, that is, in the testing process, users will be able to make live calls.
Chris Park stated that X Conference is a strong alternative to popular live call applications such as Google Meet, Google Hangouts, Zoom, AWS Chime and Microsoft Teams. According to a screenshot shared by another user, the Conference feature will be accessible via the vertical menu on the left side of the app.
There is no clear information yet on whether the new feature will be available only for company employees or for all users. Current estimates are that it will be released for all users.
X is currently working on corporate features. In this context, the company had launched Jobs, a job search platform that is an alternative to LinkedIn, in recent months. Currently, we see that many companies from our country are publishing job postings.
